We got 50 day old black Australorps about about a month ago and today we opened the brooder to feed and found this. Sad chicky momma. Luckily it only got one. :-(

Yuck! I'm so sorry for the loss of your chick. Snakes give me the creeps. That had to be a shock walking into the coop and finding it.
