Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do. 
HOur chickens will be 2 next month. We lost our beloved Fluffy a few months ago to an egg traveling into her body and she seized at the vet and died 
Today I went to do daily feeding and watering and I saw that our first hatched, Carlton, was dead She was just laying on the coop floor stiff. I have no clue what happened to her. I didn't see any damage done to her. So sad.
Our chickens are our babies and while I love all of them (Except one of my mean Roo's) Fluffy and Carlton were our favorites. I can't believe they are both gone now. :'(
