We're in the middle of a pretty decent snow storm here in Missouri and my power went out about 45 minutes ago. My babies are all huddled together for warmth. :( I took a couple afghans and covered their brooder with them to try to provide what warmth I can, but with no heat in the house, I don't even know how low the temps will drop. Ideas for providing them with some warmth?

Try hot water bottels from the warm water tap if its 2 hot cover it in something like a towel and put in in with them, maybe that wil help

Hand warmers work great...so far we still have electric but for how long I don't know we have alot of branches down and more coming down, this is such a wet heavy snow!

Isn't it insane? I would say a good 9" of HEAVY, WET snow here in Ashland so far. I was thinking about hand Warner's this morning before I got out, actually. But I didn't have any at home - they're all here at the convenience store I manage. Fat lot of good that did me. I'll bring some home with me when I finally get to leave. I'm not holding my breath on getting my power back on any time soon.

That is about the same amount of snow we have and add that on top of what we already had from Thursday, it sucks. I scooped out an area for the girls to scratch around this morning and each shovel full was stupid heavy compared to the last snow. Back side of the storm is still due to go through ack!
