I posted my incubator had spiked to 120, I lost all 30 of my Jap quail eggs. Then to top it all off last night something attacked one of my quail cages on the porch. I found one hiding in a flower pot, 2 dead, my mom found a male, but two are still missing. No idea what did it, the chickens roosting on the porch right next to it weren't bothered at all. I didn't hear a thing, but whatever hit it, knocked the cage apart literally. I hope the eggs I sent out hatch, I'd like to know something of my babies lives on. The hen I found this morning laid an egg for me, she has a broken/dislocated wing, but she is doing good so far. My 4 upcoming babies are between 3 days and 3 weeks old, so it will be a bit before I have anymore.
First time that has happened, I'm glad no one else was hurt. Except for Pudster the cat that is, something took a big patch of hide off of the back of his head too. But the vet said he's ok.
