Lost Rooster

well....me and my mom, McNugget, caught a small white rooster with a red comb that was down by our drive way. We have no idea what breed it is and we will try to post pictures. if you have any suggestions as to what it might be please let me know.

There are quite a few white breeds. What did it's comb look like? If it was really large it might have been a white rock or leghorn. If it was really small it might be a Wyandotte. If you can post picture someone can probably tell you.

His comb is single. Visually he looks like a miniture Leghorn, but his tail feathers are not as pretty, of course he might be missing a few. He has well formed spurs so I don't think he will get any bigger. He could be a mixed bird. We will try to get pics posted soon.

Wyandotte have a rose comb right?

It's been a crazy few days. Sorry for the delay in posting pictures, but here is the little roo. What breed is he? or is he mixed?

Here he is with some of the other flock for size comparison. Notice how much smaller he is than the other rooster.

We haven't had the time to go door to door asking who's roo he is and no one has come looking for him. We had him in the "bully" cage in the chicken house for 5 or so days for the others to get use to him. I kept a close eye on him for illness and parasites, but nothing was evident, so last Friday evening I let him out with the others. He looks to be healthy. Bernie (the other rooster) chased him around some just to let him know who is BOSS! That evening after dark I went out to the house to check on him to ensure he made it in to the house and there he was, snuggled up with the hens on the roosts.

He has taken up with my smallest hen and seems to be getting along ok. But Bernie is still BOSS!

At least in my coop he's safe from preditors and has company. He has a home as for now, and if no one comes looking for him I guess he's ours! So I've added him to my signature.....
