Raven raised her head at the sound of other voices in the tunnels. She heard what the men said and after a moment decided to risk calling out to whoever was being led in to run away.

Ruby held a hand out for her passenger to dismount also.
Strider dismounted and ground tied Stone then disappeared to check the area for any dangers.
Ruby dismounted after her passenger, holding the saddle for a moment before she could move away enough to open her saddlebags. "Danielle, come here please."

The woman riding behind Ruby was named Luella, and she joined Danielle, Bagira, Milly's husband and Ruby on the ground once they had stopped. The three escapees from Wedmor were in reasonable condition, given the treatment they had received at the orc camp. All were suffering from minor injuries, like Danielle and Ruby.

Ruby pulled her saddlebag off and turned to Danielle with a smile "We are about the same size, and I know how much I want out of these dirty clothes, so I assume you do also." She paused a moment and shook her head "I will need some help bandaging my back."

Ruby smiled and turned to go to the bushes for some privacy. She set down her bags and took off her cloak, looking to Danielle to be sure she had followed "I only have one dress, you can wear it, unless you want to wear pants."

Although she was a girl, Danielle was no stranger to wearing pants. "Pants would be fine, easier to ride in." She replied, out of the blue she then asked, "so, where do you and your father come from?"

"Alright, I think," she answered. His footsteps where easy enough to hear and the tunnel ran mostly straight. "Is that a light up ahead?"

The faint glow of a torch around a curve in the tunnel was just enough to guide her.

She paused as she thought she heard someone yell.

"Who's he with?" Charles asked, still whispering, thinking the voice sounded familiar. They were near the room where they had stashed Raven, Charles had been about to get her the promised blanket from the stash of gear he kept here.

"One way to find out," Laethros said quietly. Then louder. voice echoing up the tunnel, "Who's there?" hoping to cover up the sound of Raven yelling.

Ruby nodded and knelt down beside her bag, then started to pull her shirt up. She stopped and glanced to Danielle "We come from all over, but I was born in Buna." She continued then reached to her bag for the medical kit and handed it to Danielle "The salve in there is good for most anything, just put some on the cuts, then cover them with the bandages"

Gomez recognised Laethros voice immediately, but continued to play dumb. They weren't close enough yet. If Gytha spooked and decided to run there was still a chance that she'd made it out-- and he thoroughly enjoyed the act of deceit. It was a challenge to him to see how long he could hold her misplaced trust.

He stopped at the sudden noise, hesitant to go further. "Umm, my name is Gomez..." He said, his voice sounding a bit uncomfortable to be speaking into the dark at a nameless shadow. "I'm just passing through on my way to Aberdeen, and looking for a place to spend the night. Surely you can spare room for two? We've traveled a great distance today."

Laethros was sharp enough to take up the charade immediately. "Come on down here then, Gomez. No sense being in the dark."

Gytha stayed still, her heart racing suddenly. She strained her ears. Had she really heard someone calling some kind of warning? Or was she just so exhausted and on edge that she had imagined it?
