My fiancé saw my girl was limping, so we brought her inside to see what was going on and she lost a toe nail. She wouldn’t stand on it at all. I’ve brought her inside, have her a bath to clean it and am drying her now. What do I need to do? Just keep an eye on it ? There was no bleeding. She seems to be fine otherwise!

One of my Faverolles lost a toe nail and I, being a nervous nelly, whisked her off to the vet, where they cleaned up her foot and used some sort of antibiotic on it.

When my second Fav lost a toe nail (they're in the coop where everyone jostles around for the best space on the roosts -- even though there is plenty of room for all), I cleaned her up myself, sprayed on some Vetricyn and saved a few dollars.

I am no expert, but if she's not bleeding, I think she'll be okay.

I have her inside for the night, just to make sure! She’s not digging my home made diaper 😂
