lot better hatch than last time

Got 5 on easter 2 more through the night 2 more piping. I started with 42 only 16 fertile (some dark eggs questionable) and hatched 9. I retired the rooster. It didn't appear that he was doing his job. I think young rooster was doing most of the fertilizing. Kids are excited....and me too....wife not so much. Shes coming around though.

The first was a disaster. We got 2 out of the batch. Then one died while my mom was away.
