Let me begin with what were sent from MM in the bantam assortment:
#1- 8wk, going through REALLY ugly phase, but is what I think might be a hatchery quality Turken/NN cockerel?

#4- The approx. 10wk feed store reject cockerel picked to pieces: 1 wk old and was missing comb, all of feathers and some skin on back and under L wing- I have NO clue with this little guy.....serious mohawk action-

and last but not least, who said that ALL EEs have willow/green/slate legs? This is CrazyHen, 15wk EE hen.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

My opinions are below:

#1 Rhode Island Red Bantam
#2 Partridge Rock Bantam
#3 white jap
#4 & #5 no idea, but love the mix of colors in those feathers

Matt

Yep-#2 has a single comb not a rose comb so it's a Rock not a Wyandotte.
#3's legs are WAAAY too long to be a Jap. If you can see under a Jap it's legs are too long.
#4 I'm sure of though-it's a chicken!

I agree that #1 is an RIR, the others I have no clue about. I also have an EE with yellow legs, so while green seems to be the most common leg color on EEs, it certainly isn't the only color.

#1: RIR
#2: partridge rock
#3: white oebg?
#4: silkie x
#5: ?? not sure, possibly an EE?

Do you think they get those mohawks from being cross bred with a silkie? I have a 6 week old white mystery chicken who has a "fan" on his head that started like the one you have with a mohawk. He also seems to have different neck feathers although the rest of his feathers look the same. He is also very soft compared to my RIR. Yours is the first bird I have seen with that mohawk besides mine.

Yours could be a polish. The reason i said silkie x is because of the crest, feathered legs, dark skin, and comb.

Do you have pics of your chick?

Here is some pictures I just went out and took - it looks like a similiar mohawk to no. 4 - I think I might repost him so i am not hijacking Normajeans thread.
