Hi FOlks:

I have 5 hens and a roo all just 5 weeks old. For the past two days I have noticed an unusual amount of liquid in their poo..Is this normal?
ALSO.. pls tell me your recommendation for food from 6 weeks and up..I really want these to be healthy, happy, pets

Hmm, try adding some oats to their feed and see what happens. That always worked for my hens.

Good luck

If it's hot where you are, they may simply be drinking more water -- mine are.

Generally it's starter for around 6 to 8 weeks then grower til laying then layer. Around here, they sell a single feed labeled starter/grower so it's the same feed til they lay. I feed them all grower because it has a little more protein and I have month olds running around with 4 year olds, and offer oyster shell on the side. There is also flock raiser, which isn't available to me locally. There are several other perfectly good ways to go about this. They should be fine if you use a fresh smelling, decent quality feed, and don't overdo treats that are low in nutritional value.
