No, I still haven't settle on a name for the new girl.

I actually increased my herd this year, I added a new buckling, two new does, and this little keeper doe! Not counting the 4 kids that are leaving for new homes I have 8 does and 3 bucks! (I also have 5 full sized goats)

It is always hard letting the little ones go, but you can't keep them all. I like to keep my numbers low, I recently upped my limit to no more then 10 does (previously it was 5). So I have a few more openings I will fill w/ keeper kids! It's hard desiding who stays and who goes, but it does get easier.

Yea I know it will be hard but like you said, I know I can't keep them all. My limit is 4 to 6 does...I will not get a buck; I will pay for stud services. I started out saying I wanted to get 2 but that quickly changed after I got my first girl "Bella" we fell completely in LOVE. I am cutting back on the number of chickens I have to make room for more goats.

But I will still have plenty of chickens. I have way too many roos and they will be my biggest cut…my freezer will be full.

I fuss at mine daily but it does no good. There will be 4 of them all crammed into one nest box...I would think the ones in the back would smother to death! It’s like one of the cars in the circus where clowns keep coming out…when I start pulling hens out of the boxes.
