She finally quieted down that afternoon. My theroy is she's just not happy witht he new hens and she is trying to establish her dominence from across the yard. Another thing is, we live down the road from a very loud church, and I mean we can hear thier sunday service down the road. I can almost feel the vibration from thier base in my yard. I know chickens are sensitive to vibrations. After service stopped, she calmed down after a while. Could the church (antheis chicken?) be bothering her? Im gonna give her a few days to mellow out and get used to the new location of thier chicken tractor and the new hens. In a month when I intergrate the flocks, Im gonna put her in last after some intitial reorganization of the pecking order has taken place. Mabey she will calm down then. Hopefully yesterday was just a bad day for her.
