Loud rooster

Don't caponize the rooster. Honestly, it's such a difficult procedure and it's not like spaying or neutering a mammal. Chickens don't do very well during surgery and it would incredibly expensive to have a vet do it.

What are the local laws/ordinances about roosters and/or noise problems?

If your rooster is perfectly legal can you report your neighbor's threats to the police?
We are planning on doing that if we get some recordings, we dont live in the city and a few people on the block also have roosters
Yep, first thing to find out.
@izakifoto do you know your rights here?

Touchy situation...sounds like not a great relationship to begin with, involving the police might just make it worse, even if you legally can have the crower.
Crow collars can be harmful..and they often don't do the trick.

I like to hear my cock crowing too...but the noise all chickens make can be very annoying, especially if it is incessant and loud and close.
It's perfectly legal for us to have our rooster, we love the sound of a rooster crowing but it's very insistent and he dosent seem to really have his inner clock, he crows all hours of the day non-stop, I really don't want to get rid of him.
