aart, am not sure what you mean.

Sorry got you mixed up with someone else.

The pullet is laying the eggs in the nesting box and the chicks for some reason go to the nesting box and lay next to the egg. Which make the three pullets extremely angry and loud.
The box which you marked is where I keep the chicks feed and it’s also for the chicks protection in case the pullets get territorial.

Not sure what to suggest about this.

what height should the perch be ?

Same level as the entrance of the nests.

So the side of the 2x4 perch facing the nesting boxes should be eight inches from the boxes ?

Something close to that...... how I did mine.

Having more nests might alleviate the chicks being the older birds nests.
