Loudest and quietest ducks

Cayugas. They're beautiful - all black, almost "beetle green" feathers, black bills, black feet. And they're pretty quiet. I have a pair, purchased in part because of their reputation for being fairly quiet ducks. Thelma will quack, but she mostly mumbles. Louie is very quiet and mumbles a little bit.

But they do have something to say when they come to greet me in the middle of the whole flock of chickens each morning.

The loudest one I ever had was a buff. I had to find her a new home before the neighbors killed me

the man at the zoo yesterday said that TEALS don't quack at all!

I haven't heard of Teals before. What are they like as a breed? Are they friendly?

Teal are a wild duck just like woods and mandarins. They are more for looking at. Not really like a domesticated duck.
