Hi, my little cochin hen has been sitting for three days now. I am not opposed to placing eggs under her... but I am wondering if that's the thing to do... Should I try to break her, should I let her set... I really don't know what to do next.

This is our first time -- what should we do?

Give her eggs... she will thank you by giving you chicks...

Awh give her some eggs:) Beautiful name by the way. I'm planning on naming one of my white cochin hens Louisa.

Oh, yes, please, give her some fertile eggs!

At least five, so hopefully at least 2 or 3 will hatch and she can be a mommy. And your flock will increase!

There's nothing as adorable as a momma hen with new chicks. She'll be fine raising thm in the winter, I bet.

Ok, fertile eggs... good -- where do I get those? I have no rooster... I need eggs. Oh, and she is in the kitchen so we are not worried about the cold.
