Good Morning! The rain brought a little cooler weather in with it. Considering it should be freezing this time of year, I welcome the cooler weather. Ive been spending my day converting my old shed into a 10x10 coop. Just have to replace the floor & build my run. I had so much fun with my first year with chickens that I am ordering some broiler chicks, a handful of turkeys, & a starter flock of ducks. Does anyone know how prevelent blackhead is in south Louisiana? The broilers would be with the turkeys for a month

Blackhead is not really common in our area, which use my turkeys are with my chickens. It's been this way for years with no problem.
 
OK I really am NOT a creature of change, so suffice it to say I am NOT happy right now, but I at least figured out, I think, how to post a reply?

How in the heck do you get rid of all the *stuff* on the right side of the page which is blocking 1/2 of this column?

Hope everyone is doing well, I'm taking my grouchy self to bed.

Thanks for the black head feedback. I'm pumped up about getting Turkeys & Ducks! I love peeps, even though I had to throw a bucket at my 10 month old rooster that stays in the hen house today when he charged me in the yard. He sure was cute when he was little, not so much as cute now. I have a feeling next time I butcher he may be leaving his girls to fend for them selves.
