Look what my thoughtful hubby brought home last night! He went to help a chef friend and not only did he bring me leftovers for lunch today, but he snagged this awesome wine box too! It will make a fantastic nest box! I can cut the lid up and make it a 2 compartment one for the big girls, or a three compartment for the silkies.

Julie I feed them gamebird also but they never lay this early.

Terri bad news. I dont have the cottage rose gander anymore. My wife left out the drive and he evidently wasnt paying attention and neither was she

To say the least I didnt talk to her for a few days.

As far as the others they are now penned up and pairing off so maybe that will work.

My peafowl have been fanning there tails off lately both hens and the male

Sending out my first export today. Shipping a couple dozen day old chicks to Hawaii

How old are they? I know that north louisiana is a little colder than south louisiana, so I wonder if that is why....because of the temps.

Kinda like my geese....they start laying in December and I have heard other people say that their geese don't start laying until a couple months after that.

Also, I thought my muscovys had stopped laying since they don't lay year round but I was WRONG!!! They tricked me, they moved their laying spot somewhere else but when I found it, I collected the eggs. Now they are laying back in the nesting boxes in the chicken house. My girls are so bad.
 
I HATE this new format SO MUCH! I can't see but 1/2 of your posts & I have been unable to figure out how to get rid of the cr-p on the right side of the page--it is blocking exactly 1/2 of my screen.

I did send in my $20 for a gold feather membership because I read somewhere that if you have one, they'll tell you how to get rid of the darn stuff on the right hand side -- is anybody else having this problem?

Hopefully I'll be able to get rid of the right hand stuff after they process my paypal payment & give me access to all of the "secret" stuff --

if not, I'm out of here. Life's too short to be this frustrated.
