Hey guys, I'm looking for someone either near Covington or on the South shore (Metairie, Kenner or New Orleans) that may have some eggs that I could get cheep. My neighbor has a school and I'm going to loan her an incubator for a class project. I would give her some of my own eggs but none of my roosters are doing anything yet (still a little to young). I'm not picky, the eggs can be for any kind of chicken, any breed or mixed breed, I just need eggs that they can hatch. In fact you can probably have the chicks once they are done with them at the school.

I don't need them until around the middle of next month....say around the 10th or the 11th. Please let me know if you can help and what it's going to cost me for 12 eggs.

Thanks,
Chris

Funny story. I let my girls out to scratch around one day. I seriously spent 20 minutes trying to get the girls back in their pen. I got my son out there and he had both of the girls caught in like 10 seconds! LAME!!

but really, anybody know where I can get a couple of birds who are ready to be outside? I don't have a set up to deal with chicks here. My baby girl wants an EE, my son a Welsummer (the dog got to his a year ago) but I doubt he'd be too picky, Ultimately at least one bird who's a good layer, my birds right now one lays infrequently and the other only when the first does. two birds isn't so fun... I'm in ouachita parrish.

Thanks!

Good mornin La-yers
Guess what? I see sunshine out the window this mornin, thank God. I hope it shines for a spell 'round here, I'm up to my eyes in mud and crap here. Oh well the garden's good and wet now and it'll be a month or two before I can even plant it, kinda' one of those damed if you do, damed if you don't deals I'd reckon. Anyway everthing else seems to be good just needs to dry out a little and all will be well here.

Jeff
