"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Yeesh, it was downright raw outside this morning! I had to go break ice on all the water pans. Petrus Feed & Seed here in Alex has baby chicks pretty much year 'round - I was in there a couple weeks ago & noticed some (& yes--walked away quickly)!

I had to actually go buy eggs this past weekend---half my girls are in moult & not laying & the rest are getting older & cranky.
Stay warm everybody!

Hey there La-yers dropping by to shout out a howdy doody from up here in these piney hill tops of northern Vernon parish. Looks to be turning back into winter tomorrow, sure's been nice the past couple o'days and I could stand a whole winters worth of those type days. Anyhow everbody bundle up and give the ol'gals extra treats on those old blustery days cause I now they don't like them anymore than I do.

catch ya'll on the flip side

We also bought some from IDEAL. I have chickens coming out of my ears, lol. They are inside and outside. We are addicted. I also bought some at the feed store in Hammond. The owner there was super nice!

howdy back atcha Marksville, I lived(camped) over on the Atchafalaya (simmesport area) for about a year and a half, just love Avoyelles parish and the people over in that part are definately a different culture(in a good way) than I've ever seen in any other part of the USA Ive ever been in.
