Ahhhh! Yes, I'll take them! Looks like me and the hubby will have to make a day trip to your neck of the woods! It will be another couple of weeks until he has a weekend off. I'll get with you and see what we can come up with.

I had a black Marans hen that I found was eating eggs. Unfortunately I don't think I caught her fast enough, because it seems to have taken over most of my flock.

I'd like to tell the hussies that the only place left for them if they aren't laying is the gumbo pot! I guess it's time to make a few roll away nest boxes. I saw the southeragrian's post about making them out of storage bins. looks easy enough. I'd like to have some of the nice fancy galvanized ones, but just don't have the extra cash to spend the $100 per run! I'll post some pics of my creation when I'm finished. I hope to have one done by tomorrow night!

Glad everyone made it through the storm... my shreveport friend went and got some silkies from la Mike and she just loves em ( I hope to go get the two shes holding for me soon!)

Back atcha Jeff! Busy running, as always. Catching up on laundry yesterday after work -- didn't dare stress the septic tank system after 12 inches of rain until it had a chance to drain!

Hey where is everybody! THIT (thank heavens it's Thursday) for me -- which is my "Friday".

Tomorrow cleaning out the chicken coop -- since all the rain last weekend it has gotten a bit "whiffy" - plus I need to add to my mulch pile - fixing to take most of it for the fall garden.

Have a touch of "hatching fever" - I swear, this is worse than "new car fever" lol! - but resisting the urge - must wait until after the 1st of the year!
