"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Good morning layers. Well is been a busy Sunday. I was over in Laplace. My son is deploying next month. Went to the ceremony. All my eggs are hatched. I ended up with 3. I put 4 more chick for her to raise. She took to them right away. Momma and babies are doing great. Have a feat day

Ooooooooo Gracie, I thought it was only me being mean but I agree with you. I"m glad that I'm not alone in this. I had my plastic gloves on, water hoses were running in the pools, I had mud ALL OVER MY SHIRT. Feed buckets were all over the place. Rags and brushes on the ground. My boots were covered with mud. My hair was a mess and I probably had mud on my face. I was NOT a happy camper. Every second I am taken away from my chores is like taking an hour away from my work. When I'm on a role and I'm doing this and doing this, it throws a wrench in my schedule. Now if I know that someone is coming over, then I don't have a problem. But when 5 people stop within a few hours to chit chat, I am NOT a happy camper. :barnie Especially when they want to "price compare". :barnie
Thank the Lord! It's not just me!

I have an extra Sebbie gander that I have for sale for $75. I took him to the swap in DeRidder last weekend, and some guy says "Hell, I bought one of those for only $15 last summer." I told him that I would take him home before I settled for less, and that's exactly what I did! This was the same guy that pulled 3 goats, an African goose, quail, chickens, cages, and his wife all out of a tiny Pontiac Sunfire!

My prices are what they are. They are fair, and while someone may think they are high, then I suggest that person make a quick trip to Google to see what people are getting elsewhere. My birds are not mutts or inferior quality, and if they were I would price them as such. I don't keep my birds to make money, but I'd at least be able to cover my feed bill lol.

:yuckyuck :lau :lau :lau :lau :lau :lau :lau :lau AMEN to everything that you said about selling your animals. I talked to a guy about my turkey hens and I told him the price . He said WOW, I might as well buy (blah, blah, blah, blah). I said well, you might as well do that because I am not going down on the price of my turkeys hens. Because guess what.......... I DO NOT have to sell them. I'm not hurting for money DUDE. Once I explained to him and his wife that by the time this hen lays 2 or 3 clutches of eggs and hatches babies, they will have made their money three fold. For example if a turkey hen lays and hatches 15 eggs (and it is VERY possible), just those eggs alone would sell for $45.00. Now multiply that x 3 clutches. Now you are looking at $135.00. Now let's say if a person decides to incubate or let that hen hatch her clutch. Let' say she hatches 12 out of the 15 eggs. You can get $12.00 per poult x 12 = $144.00. And if that same hen hatches out 1 perhaps 2 more hatches of poults, you can add on another $144.00 to make it $288.00 or $432.00. And you are complaining about the price of my hens. Talk to the hand because I'm not hearing it.

And this does not include putting a turkey or turkeys in your freezer. Dude, stop wasting my time. Just because I'm a female you may think I don't know about animals, raising them and selling but you are so wrong dude. LOSER !!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like a great weekend !!!!!!!

Good morning everyone. The weather was horrible last night. I'm so sick and tired of this!!! IT HAS TO STOP !!!!!!! :barnie I can't get the chicken yard dry enough to get a dump truck in the chicken yard to deliver sand. :hit

I'm having the same problem. I desperately need a load of sand, but the ground is too soft to bring in the truck. Arghhhhhh!

It is driving me crazy. However, I don't have far to drive because I'm there at the corner of crazy and deranged.
