I love them!!! Great job !!!!I built mine in Jan using parts and pieces I had collected along with some things I bought from the Habitat for Humanity ReStore. I used pictures of other peoples' coops to come up with my design. Given the fact I've never had chickens or a coop, I thought I did pretty well. I still need to paint it. The basic framework.Soooo..... I'm getting ready to either add on to my coop, or build another one (my addiction is growing) and i would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see your set ups! I don't care what it is.. i want to see it! PLEASE post pics!![]()
The wood I used for the siding was a partial box of flooring I got from the ReStore for $25.
The windows on this side and above the nesting boxes are screened on the inside so I can leave them propped open during the summer for extra ventalation.
The back of the nesting boxes opens for egg retrieval and easy cleaning. This side of the coop also opens for cleaning and maintenance. The run has a screen door on the front for entry and it's tall enough for me to stand in.
My girls in their new home. :cd
Hope it gives you a few ideas.
