I will definitely be catching up with you! This trip was one of those "I can't believe the post office messed up this delivery again and now I have to drive an hour home from work, then another hour to Alexandria!" kind of trips.

Oh my goodness my babies babies! I'm yso glad you like them Celie. Wait til they grow up. You will find them to be beyond funny. Those little buggers are always up to something around here. Yesterday they were at chasing that last squirrel again. My turkeys HATE squirrels.

I suppose when it comes to fuzzy butts I am a total sucker. I had d'uccles that were lost in transit Friday so I intervened and drove to Alexandria to pick them up after work. We ran in tractor supply there since I was getting low on feed. Naturally my daughter spies the chick/duckling bins. As if we don't have enough already and as if I haven't already said that ducklings are terribly nasty in the brooder...daughter spotted a crested in one of the bins. Ten minutes later we were in the truck with a lonely crested duckling. Why can't I say no to fuzzy butts? Since that ride home Aflac has imprinted on her and will not leave her side. If we put it in the brooder it causes a ruckus until someone returns to get it. It will climb in your shirt if you hold it and snuggle in your armpits. *sigh* So I now have a duckling running rampant through the house behind my daughter. How will I ever keep this house clean that way?

So adorable! My 9 yr old son was cuddling with a duckling tonight. Must have been a duckling kind of day!

My eggs are rocking and wiggling in the incubator. . . Tomorrow is hatch day (first one for me) So stink'n excited that I can't sleep!

SO, when I went to do my daily candling, cooling, and misting routine for the waterfowl eggs last night, I found the goose egg due to hatch on Wednesday had pipped in the incubator.

I quickly took it to the hatcher and this morning the gosling's head is fully out. It looks really weak though. It is from one of my first year girls and the egg was small for a goose. I'm going to keep a close eye on it today to make sure it isn't getting shrink wrapped.

congrats on the new lamb and i hope you enjoy that jelly. i checked and the first batch of eggs i got from your dad are due to hatch next monday, and i couldnt wait so i started those eggs i got from yall sat. that night, so my flock quality is really starting to improve

LOL A "river rat" huh? J/K no offense intended just a nickname for folks from down around the Evans/Burr Ferry area for other La-yers that aren't familiar with the area.

I know there are others newbies on here ive not recognzed shouted out too but welcome all ya'll this place gets busy sometimes and we forget to recognize everbody so here's to ya!
