"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

My horse and dog have only just come to an understanding. My gsd is not nearly bright enough to not get herself stomped by a donkey and I don't think the cat would appreciate it much either. LOL.
That donkey sounds like a potentially expensive vet bill to me!

I already have a female donkey.... I think my hubby would pretty much divorce me if I brought this guy home to make babies with her. Plus, with my luck he'd also breed my paint mare. Then I'd have a baby donkey & a mule. But, a paint mule would probably be cute! Hmmm.....

Typically with goose eggs, the earliest you can detect anything is 4 days, but that embryo is VERY small and hard to see. By day 7 though, you should see well defined veining in the egg. I just removed eggs set on the 24th because they failed to develop (I set 6 eggs that day and 3 developed). However, if you have no developing eggs to compare against, I would wait until 9 days to remove them.

Just for curiosity sake, what breed are the eggs from?
I'm gonna candle them again either Friday or Saturday, which would be days 8 & 9. The eggs are Cotton Patch. That's one reason why I will be super disappointed if I have to chunk them all.

Mike LaMike on here raises Cotton Patch. He is up by Shreveport somewhere....lol. Anyway, it wouldn't hurt to PM him and see if he has any eggs he would sell you.

I have some Pomeranian X eggs I set on the 15th. This is my first gosling experiment! So far they are all on track! I am also pretty excited for my first guinea eggs arriving tomorrow! ( separate bators)

Pomeranian times what? I have hatched about 10 Toulouse x Pomeranian goslings and they were SUPER cute, but all went to new homes. Good luck with your guineas: They are very, very cute as little ones!
