I can tell you urine doesn't work! I potty trained my son outside, if urine worked I would have never had ants. I will never think right now when I see someone walking around their yard with a solo cup.

I wonder if I can paint some of my Marans and sell them on Craigslist as that breed.

You could always give that "nice lady" you were dealing with the idea!

Your good deed chickens could be painted black!

So, I went to WalMart for the 3rd time this morning to get more Sevin Dust and I noticed another container on the side of the original Sevin Dust (red container) that I normally buy. Has anyone saw this one before? It says I called the 1-800 on the internet and talked to the a rep of the company and she said that is is food grade and that this one is BETTER than the Sevin Dust in the red container. She said this one is "organic" because it is made from Chrysanthemums Flowers. I bought a container this morning I noticed that the Sevin Dust in the red container kills over 65 insects and the other container kills over 250 insects. Who knew that there were that many insects. I will have to get a list of those 250 insects. This is what I'm battling with. I have about 100 piles of them all over. :barnie I am averaging 1/2 container per ant pile. There's gotta be a better way. Gas and a match is sound better by the minute.
The insect poison in the organic is pyrethrin https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct...=JVqun23Q20ULsj5che5_ig&bvm=bv.51156542,d.aWM it is the same reason for planting marigolds in or around the garden areas it repels crites LOL
Sounds like i need to get to planting Marigolds ALL OVER THE YARD. I'm sure it's too late to plant them for this year. :/ But then again the chickens would eat all of them. :barnie :hit I can't win.
1000
Thanks for the info.

Yup. That's perfectly affordable. .... In my dream world where I'm a billionaire and there are no chicken eating predators and vermin. If I even seriously thought about dropping that kind of cash on a chicken the coons would come with wire cutters and lock picks before the though was finished.

x2 Isn't outside where boys are supposed to go? At least mine thinks so.

However, I've gotten some great pictures of their backsides and will one day torture them with the idea of showing their friends (insert evil laugh)!

This is what my pest control guy uses in pellet form. He does not treat the chicken area because he thinks they might eat it. The first time it rains they dissipate into the ground. He told me that he does not know if it will cause harm to the chickens if they eat it so he stays on the safe side.
