"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Just want to share this with y'all.
Upside down orange biscuits. Mix same part orange juice as sugar. I do one cup sugar one cup orange juice, wisk on stove till sugar melts. Pour most not all in a pan. Save some to pour on top after done. Place biscuits on top then bake regular time. When done take out and flip upside down and cover with powdered sugar..

I DREAMED ABOUT EATING THAT LAST NIGHT.

Oh PLEASE don't give me ANY ideas!  I'm a sucker for animals.  I think they play such an important role in kids lives.  If my eight year old (Matthew) persists long enough, I may set some ground rules and give in.  It will take a while though, I need to make sure he continues to help with the chickens with his current enthusiasm.

I understand. My granddaughter started with chickens and after a year I have into the bunnies. Now it's pigs but fortunately I can't have pigs in my subdivision. So she says, "then sell your house Nanny." Actually I have thought of that.

I found out for sure what is happening to my fly strips. I hope you can see how much squirrel fur is on them (a lot). It must have gotten free by rapping it around that branch because most of the strips just dissapear.

I have noticed less squirrels since using the strips and cayenne. Lol

At least you'll be able to spot who the culprit was.

Jim said she has the nest in the same spot as she did this spring - unfortunately, now the soybean crop is up. It's at the base of an old dead tree in the middle of the soybean field. He spotted her going in & out of there yesterday while he was trying to cut grass in between rain showers.

Soooo, do I want to wade through waist-deep soybeans, running an excellent chance of stepping on a snake, to forage through the weeds & limbs & poison ivy at the base of that tree to find her eggs?

I think not. I think she can hatch them herself.

Not counting the squirrels running around with strips stuck to them looking for water to cool down their burning mouths. I am missing about 10 strips that are no where to be found. Lol I can't wait to see some squirrel wearing my fly strips. I'll try to get a foto.
