I NEED HELP! Here's my Question: Yesterday, I put duck and geese eggs in my incubator. Today, I noticed that my Sebastopol goose looks like she is wanting to set. I have no eggs on hand to give her. Do you think I can take some of the duck eggs out of my incubator and give them to her? Would that mess up the eggs?

I would wait until I got other eggs. Once in the bator they should stay there.
You can get the porcelin eggs from the feed store and she wont know the difference.

Thanks Mike! I have a couple porcelain eggs so if she's still on the nest tomorrow I'll give her those eggs. It's bad timing! I put 15 muscovy eggs, and 3 goose eggs in the incubator the day before I noticed her hanging out in her nest.
I bid on your Dominque eggs on ebay but I lost. Obviously!
But, my bid did drive the price up a little for you.
Good morning everyone. I hope that everyone had a great weekend. Any new hatches over the weekend? I had a few new babies to hatch this weekend. Every time I went inside to get the camera, something in the barnyard distracted me and I never made it inside. I have a few baby roosters that I have to get rid of. I'm not going to make the mistake that I made last year. I kept all of my roosters longer than I wanted to and it was difficult trying to re-home them. I still have 7 from last year that I have to get rid of. Processing takes too long and I'm too tired to process them. A guy stopped over yesterday and purchased 1 of the roosters for his hens.
80% chance of rain today. Not happy about that.
Hope that everyone has a great day and great week.
Cajunrose,
. Glad to see you here.
amylou22, looking good.
Twiley, how is it going over there with your eggs?
lamike, congrats on the muscovy that is sitting on eggs. How old are the other ducks that are not laying? I have 6 girls that are sitting on eggs so far (I think). I have eggs all over the place. I had to walk around the property looking for eggs. I found a lot of duck eggs but I was unsure how long they had been there, so I cracked all of them open. The eggs that were good, I cooked them and fed them to my broody girls and gave the left overs to the rest of the animals. Those shells are so hard to break. You almost need a hammer.
