"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

I was told to give 1 tsp of Corid (water soluble) per 1 gallon of water. Does this sound correct? As of now, I haven't seen any other signs of illness, but I know how quickly that can change. Will 3 days be enough if it's coccidiosis? Someone in the emergencies thread said to give it for 5-7 days, and although I greatly appreciated the advice (I was desperate), I don't know their "skill level" like I do you guys. What is your advice?
How long before we can start eating the eggs again?

Thanks for your help,
Laurie

I don't know the dosage of the Corrid, you have the powder form? I use Sulmet anyway(bout the same) its like most everything I find poultry related is 1 oz/gal. liquid meas.

the treatment may well take 5 to7 days for the coccidiosis bug to be eliminated IDK but you don't need to doctor un-sick birds with meds they don't need was my point. J/S

I imagine there is a 10 to14 day waiting period like most other meds for poultry.

I really appreciate all the help you guys have given. It is truly appreciated. Thank you also for all of the kind words. My son, after saying "Mooommmm" because I've told you how he's been feeling about losing Stubbie, said everyone was very nice.
Thanks Again,
Laurie

They are too cute! Love it with the pumpkin. I love the feathered legs and feet! We were trying to find something around here to stage some cute pictures tomorrow with our fluffy butts. There ended up being 9 in the end and they all seem to be doing really good.

We are now up to 400 birds entered in our show in Baton Rouge Nov 9th at LSU for those of you interested in coming just to walk around and look at some really nice birds! If your on the fence about entering....you have until Thursday the 31st to do so. You can go to our club's web site for more information here.... http://www.gcpfa.com/index.html
I hope to see and meet some of you there, it will be fun for the entire family. We will have birds for sale, birds and breeds to look at, you can fine contacts for birds you may want to buy and it's all free to just walk around and look!

Again, hope to see you there,
Chris
