I was told to give 1 tsp of Corid (water soluble) per 1 gallon of water. Does this sound correct? As of now, I haven't seen any other signs of illness, but I know how quickly that can change. Will 3 days be enough if it's coccidiosis? Someone in the emergencies thread said to give it for 5-7 days, and although I greatly appreciated the advice (I was desperate), I don't know their "skill level" like I do you guys. What is your advice?
How long before we can start eating the eggs again?
Thanks for your help,
Laurie
I don't know the dosage of the Corrid, you have the powder form? I use Sulmet anyway(bout the same) its like most everything I find poultry related is 1 oz/gal. liquid meas.
the treatment may well take 5 to7 days for the coccidiosis bug to be eliminated IDK but you don't need to doctor un-sick birds with meds they don't need was my point. J/S
I imagine there is a 10 to14 day waiting period like most other meds for poultry.
