Hindsights a pain. Lol
We thought about wire, afterwards. So we lined the bottom with a linoleum sheet and will be putting a wire bottom on it in a week or so.

The coop they be using has power/light/heat available so we're gonna boot this batch outdoors and then modify it to wire with a slide tray.
We've been learning as we go. Lol right now I have newsprint over linoleum, hay over that then shavings daily I roll up newsprint and toss it into a compost pile. It'll be even easier with wire.

Too Cool! Is the bottom wire? Just wondering how to clean it when they get a little older.. Great Idea!!!

We (hahaha ok He- but I assisted!) Finished up a coop this morning. Latched removable roof, a sliding front door to enter, 2 people can* move entire coop- its technically 3 pieces-roof/base/pen (tho 4 people to move it is more practical lol him and I did move it).




Later this weekend an auto waterer with cups is going to be set up in the "V" between these two coops. Picked up a holding tank Halloween and water cups should arrive today. Yay!

Hey have you seen any of her posts about Krazy Karl? Her neighbor....? Wow, that dude needs to be locked up, if you ask me. I wonder if he will get charges pressed for him putting that pesticide on HER LAWN?! He is seriously obsessed with getting rid of her chickens. Then yesterday she posted a picture that showed he had a video camera pointed right at her house/lawn! So creepy!

A little while ago my granddaughter and I heard the dog barking at the BBQ pit which usually means possum. We opened the back door and went through the back porch. Before we knew it that big angry possum ran through the back porch and back door into the kitchen. I set up a corral and tried to chase it out the door with a broom but needed to get closer. No, no I didn't want to get closer. So I called my neighbor who stood on the sofa and got it to run back out. Yea for great neighbors.
