"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Ok, this is not the final number/ numbers but it's close.....

Total birds entered--- 730 but we think that there is a few more in the mail.

Just over 200 Lg Fowl entered!

Just over 400 Bantams entered

Right at 100 birds entered in the Jr's classes

And I think 31 or 32 Water fowl entered

I will post pics but I doubt any vid. At least I won't have time I am already going to be swamped with things to do.

Jeff, Matt entered some Reds some NH's some WR's and something else. All together something like 23 birds. I entered 18 and a buddy of mine entered 10 of my birds.

A little bit of trivia about this. Chris, our club's VP Brad, and I did 2.5 hours worth of math to get the floor plan ready to give to LSU.
So, I thought this was an interesting bit of trivia: Once the show is set up, if we were to line all the coops up end to end, we would have 1,580 lineal feet of coops, or just over 1/4 mile of birds!

Too cool!

Hubby came home today and decided they needed a bigger, mobile brooder. So he made one lol

Too Cool! Is the bottom wire? Just wondering how to clean it when they get a little older.. Great Idea!!!

I was checking on my mealworm experiment......AND I HAVE 2 BEETLES! They are bigger then I expected. And there are lots more larva today too! So creepy but exciting too. I'm surprised at how easy this had been so far. And inexpensive too.

:yesss: Never thought you'd be so excited to see bugs? Great job!

We (hahaha ok He- but I assisted!) Finished up a coop this morning. Latched removable roof, a sliding front door to enter, 2 people can* move entire coop- its technically 3 pieces-roof/base/pen (tho 4 people to move it is more practical lol him and I did move it).

Later this weekend an auto waterer with cups is going to be set up in the "V" between these two coops. Picked up a holding tank Halloween and water cups should arrive today. Yay!
