The yellow chick is wheaten that is the down color of a wheaten bird the others look to be blue. are these hatchery stock or from a breeder, if they are from a hatchery they are not Americaunas(even though they are advertised as so

) they would be EEs(easter eggers) therefore explains the color issue most are like a box of chocolates you don't know whats inside the egg till it is opened up generally.

They came from a breeder in s. Texas, she told me yesterday that while she had moved her pens around one of her splash Moran's must have bred to a couple of the wheaten hens. So there you go it sks for me ordering pure wheatens. I don't know if I want to try ordering from her again or not she has some awesome wheatens.
 
676 Birds entered in the Baton Rouge show as of this morning but we still have a couple entries in the mail that we are waiting on. I think we will get to about 700 birds entered before it's all said and done! Not bad for our first show!!!!

I hope to see some of you there next Saturday November 9th at LSU in BR!

Hey if the blue chicks turn out to be hens they should lay an awesomely dark olive green eggs(OE)dark brown x blue =olive

Well good ya'll gonna have those judges hopping Chris that's a lot for them in one day. Hey did Matt get his entries in if so what is he bringing (curiosity is killing me, wonder why) LOL

X2! We should make our own LAyers calendar. Goodness knows we have enough great pics on this thread alone!
another site I'm a member of did a calendar a couple of years ago it turned quite nice she used Vistaprint and it was very affordable esp in numbers and for what all we got for it. They run specials this time of the year/holiday season.
