"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Great idea on the leg bands...

Did you get the chickens on CL Amy?

Just FYI... I'm leaving town for a couple of days on a business trip. I've left the keys to the state website with Missy. Let me know if she got too crazy!!

My little serama just hatched one egg.. I'll post when I get back.

No, I was just passing along in case any of you were interested. I do want some more and if I could get grown ones, not chicks, that would be awesome.

Good idea on the leg bands!
Have a good trip Joe, seeya when you get back!

OK I am going to bite the bullet & fire up my 'bator next week. My wheaton Ameracauna rooster has become a major PITA - he tries to flog me every time I go through the gate. This morning he was all over me the minute I opened up the coop to let them out for the day. That's it. Time to hatch his replacement!

Here they are... One refuses to wear hers, I've put it on twice... But other than that, they work great! They are 8 inches long & can be cut to size, so you can get 15 or so from one pack,.. Not bad for 2 bucks!

Woohoo! I am soo hooked on this hatching bit. I have four chicks now. Two are chipmunk, one black, and one yellow. All are from the EE's I picked up from Twiley @ the Expo, and one may be from the egg that was laid there.
I got a LG from a friend today and plan to add a computer fan and a turner. I've read mixed reports about them here, but will give it the old college try.

Isn't that the coolest thing! That's how I got started. I was actually helping a friend to hatch her chicks. I found it so fascinating. Since then, she's long given up hatching but, I was hooked from then on.

On the Ameraucanas, I'm sure that the yellow chick will be solid white. I had a few that were solid white. I didn't have any that were solid black. That's interesting!

My Sussex go on lockdown tomorrow. I have 16 Coronations with a few being splits, and 12 Buff Sussex. I am keeping my fingers crossed that most hatch.

Also, I should be getting my 10 Silver Sussex that I ordered back in February delivered tomorrow -- I hope they arrive alive
