Ok thank you. I will defiantly be way more careful when I try again next time. Yes I have noticed how "sensitive" people can be when you call it wrong. I mainly post here , and just read in the other threads, the conversations on here are all very accepting and welcoming I feel more comfortable with being wrong with y'all.![]()
Oh I can assure you that "wrong" is totally ok here. Lol
I love my husband, but men can be a PITA sometimes!! I don't think they get "chicken math"

Didn't he ever hear of Rule 11: if you buy chicks thinking they are a certain breed and they turn out to be another breed, you are not buying more chickens when you buy some of the breed you first intended to buy.
Just Saying.
My hubby informed me he wants to have a standing order for meat birds - monthly 50 minimum doh lol my layers are becoming fewer and fewer.... I still Have my blue wheatan, splash wheatan and EE hen lol They aren't going anywhere! Each has a story and they're too funky shaped to eat and oh man my quest for a blue egg is STILL nit satisfied thanks to molting then fall/winter. Bright red combs! Each squats in the cutest way for me, each plays in the nests...only one laying is my EE. Hasn't missed a day. Huge egg and happily sings the egg song for each one.![]()
That's another thing...EEs lay better. Not necessarily blue but outta the flocks I've had of each they are consistent layers! Always keep a few EE girls aroundthey pay their way thru winter.![]()
That is a lot of meat and a lot of work! Tell him you need more layers to balance it all out.
Last time I said it might be a bit too many to processs, he bought a plucker lol...men.
Hmmmmm .....
I have one of each. I love my blue egg, however my EE lays the prettiest BIG green egg. Lou's blue egg is on the smaller side. Both of them lay every day. It doesn't matter to me. I love both their egg colors. They are both hatchery, which is another "dirty word" to a lot of people.
