We LOVE natural, raw honey! We only buy local, raw honey. My husband loves it in his coffee. We go through quite a lot of it. I gave my daughter honey for a sore throat once. Now she thinks it's the "cure all". Anytime she feels bad she's begging for a spoonful of honey.

I see requests for help removing hives often on a facebook beekeeper page "Beekeeping in Louisiana" and craigslist. You could put an ad up stating you want a swarm and people will call. I'd put in the ad the areas you're willing to collect them from. Some people brave enough I've seen charge a fee to go get them and take them away. Others just do it for free to keep the honey bees. I would also state you're only wanting a honey bee swarm! Lol everyone will call you for wasp removals!

Thanks I might wait for someone to post they need to get rid of them. Not to sure about craigs list after what happened to Celie. Thanks Pam

Too bad it's not a few weeks ago. A honey bee swarm started to build a hive right next to my back steps. My husband managed to move them and the bowl they took over out into the trees. I don't know if they stayed in that vicinity or not.

I am a wasp assassin. It pleases me to take down nest lol we have a honey bee hive on the property.they're going on their 2nd year and love the gardens the the fish pond, I am allergic to stings and had violent deadly reactions as a child but have epi pens available in case but never have I been bothered. I stalk them for pics even and they just mosey about :) calm is the key. Panic sends a signal they can literally smell and target that to save the queen...don't be scared tho, they really are peaceful. save a hive. Please save some bees. They are so incredibly important to our survival and dying out so fast :(
They love the Mexican tarragon and orange peels in the compost lol

Have you robbed them or is it a wild hive? Pam

:yuckyuck

Someone I know on FB commented that the "checkered, poofy headed chickens" freak her out. (in reference to some pictures I posted of my spitzhaubens) I just don't get not-chicken people. lol. I don't think most people truly realize that most chickens aren't boring, generic white or brown round things. I guess I've gone so far over the "crazy" line, I can't see the other side of it anymore!

There is no other side, that's why you can't see it.
