"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

It's a state law in some areas, mostly the Northeast. I got my license at 14 and only keep up on requirements when told something new. You are right, the inspection sticker is just as much of a joke as the eye exam in my area. The only place that actually checked anything on my truck was Walmart...remind me never to get an inspection there again... For the eye test I could have said anything, she was eating lunch in front of me last time and just kept shaking her head yes. I have one really bad eye and have to cheat to keep from having the requirement of wearing glasses put on there.

Too bad you don't want guineas that much anymore, that would have been fun to watch. Now you get to sit in the sidelines with us when we find someone else willing to chase one down.

:lau @ find someone else willing to chase one down.

Its not illegal to drive barefooted I know this as I just finished up a required drivers saftey course mandated by the great state of Ark for some past driving instances involving some of that vino and other alcoholic beverages ya'll all have such hankerings for. no they usuallly won't cite you for a broken headlight but they do have to and WILL pull you over to give you a warning and remind you that it needs fixed to keep you and others safe on the roads(just hope your sober when it happens) they can pull you for a lot of stuff folks really have no idea of tell you the truth and really half or more of the vehicles on the roads could be impounded at any given time hardly any will pass a roadside DOT inspection much less and emissions test the little $10 sticker in the windshield is a joke and MONEY MAKING operation is all LOL

and no I don't think I'm interested in guineas enough anymore to go thru all you all will be expecting from me LOL so there, put that in ya'lls pipes and smoke it LOL the desire is gone LOL

jipus sorry for blabbing off my big mouth too without having/hearing both sides of the story too (shot myself in the foot) it'll all be alright

YOUR FORGIVEN! Course I wouldn't appreciate a meanie being around either though...but I do enjoy getting both sides and evidence even more, hence the posting of a PM which i have never done before. PRIVATE MESSAGE should stay so, to me, unless things are brought to public notice unfairly. So, it done, over and old news now.
BUT....revenge is sweeeeet! And, since most on here have such an incredible sense of humor, I MAY have to participate at times!
BTW, your right about the bare foot thing, EXCEPT...when small towns like mine pass a law of their own...SO, Louisianians, dont drive thru MInden with flip flops on, cause here they did pass a law. Oh, and its a $38 dollar ticket...trivial I know. Good thing is you can mail the money in! All they want anyway...

OH AND GUINEAS SUCK! We have bought 12 of them twice, and they LEAVE!!!! Every time. Or maybe I should NOT free-range them every time i get them??? Maybe that is the trick, but we kept them inside the coop for 3 weeks like the seller said to, but ... Now, our 7 neighbors say they see them wandering around all over these 1.2 miles of our 'road' every so often... Im sticking to my lil chickidees!!! Though I DO want to come down and watch any entertainments after anything with homemade wines and group t-shirts begins.../!?!?!?!!??!!?!?!?

Wine is a loose translation, from all accounts it is more like wine-shine. Could it be that you are getting them too old? They tend to imprint on certain areas. Guineas are like sauerkraut, you either love them or hate them. There is no room for somewhat like with them.

Lol. Now, let's see. That's 12 guineas, TWICE. That's hummmmmm 24 guineas running your area. I think they will be renaming Minden to Guineaville. Lol

PS. This is the place where I have been the best understood of my life. I really try not to talk about my animals too much to others. The fascination and passion are just not shared. Someone once said,"not everyone is interested in chickens. ". Imagine that.

In my custody battle for my kids, my ex actually made fun of me, ridiculed me for being a "chicken and gardening freak engaged to another freak who murders animals" the judge shouldn't let our kids be around.... Here is what the Judge told him:
"those gardening and raising animals as well as those that hunt, allow us all to be able to frequent stores to find foods we wish to obtain for nourishment. Just because she and he have the ability, strength, knows the need for tradition, and strong southern country values that seem to be missing in our culture today... and you don't... doesn't make her a weird parent nor him a man the children should avoid at all... it actually helps finalize my decision to make her the sole parent for your 5 children. I believe that she alone would be able to show your sons how to be a man in ways you city boys can't, and your daughters will be strengthened with the morals to make wonderful wives and mothers. More foods are processed, which means fake because farmers are more scarce than we Americans should have allowed them to be. Now, my decision of child support to be paid monthly, I'm sure you will be happy to know it will further their ability to teach these children the morals and values I find so important for their intellectual and spiritual growth, as well as the future of our society, because if all electronics were to stop working tomorrow, it is those, with the gardens and the chickens and other livestock, as well as those that hunt, that you city boys will rely on for every bit of food you can come up with." Court adjourned...

always loved that mans words that day... Confirmed IN A COURT OF LAW that what I am doing is right...YEEHAW!!

We got them as 2 week olds each time! Why it seems so weird...ALSO, may be the fox problem we were having before we got Junior....then we get Junior and maybe the 2nd batch didn't like him? Oh yes, they probably witnessed him eating our chicks from their cage... hadn't thought of that. Bet that was it! DH is the one who really wanted them, the chickens are MY babies. Think he wanted his own flock?! LOL

I bet my granddaughter and I have hook worms. We only wear shoes when absolutely necessary. Lol.

I don't think you get hook worms that way unless you step in infected poo and then lick your foot. Hahahaha. I have had 2 dogs that have had hook worms. 1 came from the breeder with hook worms. They are hard to get rid of in this case I think the puppies were born with them. to get rid of them you treat them and have to pick up every pile of poo. Older dogs get them from eating other dogs infected poo. That puppy came very close to death but we saved him. My 2nd time was our most beloved Trixie. It was after Katrina we have a studio apt over our garage. One of my husban's workers asked to stay there till they could get better houseing. We said yes they had a puppy I told them from the get go they were to pick up there dogs poo and toss it in the woods on the other side of the fence. I had been doing that myself ever sience the puppy from years ago had hook woorms.I had the scooper they didn't have to bend over just scoop and toss away. It wasn't even a few days that I walked out to poo :somad I knew if trixie found it she would eat it and thats how they get hook worms. I was angery that I was cleaning up after my dogs but now I was picking up theres too when I would find it. well sure enough it was time for her yearly. I wasn't shocked when i was told she was positive for hooks. The treatment isn't cheep and once your property is infected it takes a while to have all the eggs die off. you have to keep all poo removed right away. Needless to say they were asked to leave sooner than later. Trixie was the GSD we saved from the pound that had a death row. She ended up being the most obeident protective dog we've had so far she was Ron's baby when he found out she got hooks he was :somad to say the least. So I hope you don't step in poo and lick your feet. Pam

Why do people get Silkies just to have a mass giveaway every winter? Last winter as well as this winter the forms are loaded with free to good home Silkies, more then all the other breeds combined for the entire year. The only thing that I could think of was it is because of the care required with the cold, but they should know this when getting them.

I know that silkies are supposed to be very sweet, HOWEVER, they freak me out a little! :hide

I absolutely am blaming the kid for the hat!  I looked like a shivering Chihuahua out there!  She is a warm body like her daddy so she is a bit warm whenever she wears things like that.  She asked for that wolf hat last year for a Christmas gift from her aunt and uncle.  She decided that she didn't like the eye placement, so she cut them off and re-sewed eyes out of her embroidery thread :)

I thought it was a sweet gesture from her (more often than not she does not do "sweet") to try to help Momma out :love :love
I like the way you and your photo boomer are all in heavy coats and hats and your hubby is in short sleves. I did send your friends care packages but it was hectic I didn't have time to add a note. Or any info on that I had their address from you so if they tell you they got a care package from someone with a strange last name they didn't know you can tell them it was through you ,Pam
