"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

She has 100 and the rest should be picked up she almost had my 50 to but I was able to get some closer to me, but at one point today she had 1200 lmao I love it...wish I had seen it lol

I hope everyone picks theirs up! As for anyone wanting to buy organic food we need to get a min of 50,50lb sacks of feed. This is in the planning stage I'm trying to see if we have enough people that we can reach the minim order. Pam

WAIT.... I'm confused (what's new lol). Kuntrygirl was picking up 1200 meaties today and others were going to pick up some until she ends up with 100??? And, if they don't show up, she has 1200??

I think she's smarter than that. I bet she made them pre-pay. They could still not show. Pam

Could you imagine!? Good they pre paid BUT what if they bail!? No...she IS smarter than that. I'm sure she has it all squared away. Where I picked up there was a van of 5000/ left to be picked up minus my 50 :gig and that poor lady looked at wits end just delivering lol

Well we're all set if Kuntrys in :lau

I would need some costs before committing. We are mixing our own but need BULK at a better price.
I'll need a lot if all goes well.

We wanna bang out many batches a year (standing monthly order of meaties is the plan we're on batch 3 now lol) , they consume i'd guess (don't have my numbers here with me) 600lbs of feed in 2-3 months time each set of 25-37 I've done so far and we were over feeding at first. These last two weeks with set #2 will give me a better number of start to finish birds consumption.

I gotta bring feed cost down and Spring free ranging will help A LOT. So I'm definitely interested if we can get the price low enough! I'll try and get you more accurate pounds I would need tomorrow, working late tonight and again at 5am tomorrow so I won't see my notebook til tomorrow afternoon lol

Your bunnies and chicks are so cute. when you were going to buy the 2000lb of food was it bagged? Was it organic? Pam

Was bagged, 50lb sacks. Was Not organic. Was a 18% feed that got good reviews lol I ferment feed so it would bring the protein up for me. But I want to feed organic bag feed. Mixing is a pain as is loose feed. Bagged is nice. This mill worked out to 12.50/bag at One Ton purchase. But then the holidays hit and a lot of places were closed when we called for prices.

Thanks Pam & Prim :) I'm loving watching them grow up, these baby bunnies are breeders so I can play with them and not feel guilty next litters not so much lol the chickens, well, they trip me, yell at me, try to make every pair of shoes I own walking garden fertilizers...so, I don't mind so much giving them love and enjoying eating them :)
My 5 year old likes to stroke them and tell me which ones for dinner. Lol so at least I didn't have to explain that part to her! She might need to hold my hand come processing time doh.

The co-op in Arizona charges 25 a 50lb sack. It's all organic soy free. I listened to a podcast interview with him. They had eggs tested for estrogens from hens eating soy. They showed up in the eggs. So I like the soy free that's what I use now but it's to expensive . They are the only feed store with organic around here so no compition . The guy running the co-op was getting a little for doing the work. So I would think we could get it cheaper if we pull together buy it split it up. If we each can buy 2 months worth. We would also save on shipping. Pam
