"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

According to a search:
Around NO there is a good following of voodoo/hoodoo that uses them as a blessing but they have strict requirements as to how, where, what foot, and what moon phase they are culled in. They have been used as part of a tarot setup but not across the board. Many use them as good luck charms both blessed and not blessed, mostly being sold as key chains. I am sure there are many more reasons for using them but when anything is said to be used for magic they tend to stick to that reason no matter what else it could be used for on the search engines. Many people are open to talk about what they use the items they buy for, all you can do is ask in the nicest way possible.

NICEST way possible...just in case. :hide

Don't forget MUSTARD, no refrigeration needed, but does have a shelf life though it is long as heck....oh and margarine!  Like Country Crock etc.  All made with a by product of plastic...up here, they have it out in the aisles of Walmart and Brookshires....never gets refrigerated even at the stores!!

And lard.

I am so glad that we are not getting the full force of this impending freeze next week. It's suppose to be 19°, which is pretty cold, but nothing like up north. I imagine there are going to be A LOT of losses for northern BYCers. I just hope that I can keep all of my critters safe and warm.

I don't think I want my blessings from a dead rabbit's foot. JS. I'm open to all faiths, but "the church of dead rabbit feet". Hummmm I'll have to think on that.

I've been watching the game.i didn't say I wanted a blessing from her. Just that I'm curious what's her culture. What she wanted them for. Pam

Being married in the temple means she and her husband will forever be tied together. They are still married after death. He will be able to get married again on earth. Also when my sister married they were married in the Temple. His brother was not Temple worthy so he could not attend. I do not know if my brother-in-law had other relatives that could not attend that are LDS but do not have a letter of Temple recommend. I to think it is wrong to not allow parents and family to attend a wedding. You have to have the bishops letter of recommend, gone three all the classes and what ever you need to do. Also you must be faithful with you tithing. :idunno

Normans are required to walk the walk, and are responsible for them selves. Once a month during church, members get up, go to the podium and give their testimonials. Young people, at there own expense become missionary's. It is a 24/7 religion. There is a lot of questioning and self examination, are you doing all you can to be a good christian (Mormon). The Prophet is kind of like the pope, he is the one that god speaks thru. Ear pear sing is ok, but only for 1 set of ear rings. You can not drink, but if you do it is ok, you give up being Temple worthy. You are not condemned, but it is also clear non-aprovel. They do not want you to go away if you do wrong, they want you to stay so they can help you do right. I guess they feel it is not Possable to influence someone that is not there.

Thanks for the info.I didn't know LDS had a prophet I thought that was the ones that belive in plural marriage. Like warren Jeff and their "compound'.I thought the LDS were different. Meaning no Prophet. I don't like a church that requires a certain amount of money to be a member in good standing or temple worthy.I know they do alot of good with it. I would think some goes where its not soppose to too.
Are they required to where special under garments? I really don't know but my friends daughter that converted said that was a custom.
That one sounded strange to me.Pam

Foreverlearning I did a bing search only thing came up was lucky rabbit's foot on key chain. they were going for 23.00. I know I had one as a kid. I also know my parents wouldn't spend that much. Thats a big mark up. I really don't see them around anymore but I rather be home with my animals. Pam
