Good morning! At least it’s finally starting to warm up! Hopefully this weekend we can get our six blueberry shrubs planted. And maybe repaint my coop! I’ve had the paint for about 2 months now…

This week has been eternally long to me. I guess because it’s the first full week after all the holidays, but honestly, I feel like that little guy in the commercial years ago who “already made the donuts” – met himself coming & going through the door!

My flock is mad at me; due to the cold weather they have been confined to the coop/run all week instead of free ranging. I get fussed at every morning when I open the coop and not the gates.

My crew is ticked at me too!! I'm headed out right now to let them out. My husband opened the coop door yesterday morning for me. They rushed him fussing and tried to make a dash for the run door. I had warned him NOT to leave it open, so they were out of luck. They were hoping for a newbie mistake!

I have no idea what you mean officer. Whatchya talkin' bout "I shot a fox"? I shot a fluffy brown dog after my livestock and that's perfectly legal... No, can't recall where I buried it....

I feel like a chicken deity every time I walk into the yard. they all flock to me and follow m around hoping I have treats. I have to be careful not to step on anyone and lord if I squat down I have as many chickens under my butt as can fit there. I think I *may" have spoiled them.

Isn’t it great to walk across the yard & look behind you & they are all following along? Makes you feel like the Pied Piper, lol!

OK I really need to stay off of Tomato Grower’s Supply website. I’ve found 7, no 8 new varieties I want to try. Plus a new bell pepper. And a new eggplant.

So much for cutting back on the garden this year.

You think real farmers have a plan? It starts with a plan and ends with where did you hatch from? Is it still illegal if the fox gets between you and the target while you are shooting??? I can see a case for many "oops" there!

Don't squat, run. It's funnier to watch that way. Mine come up the stairs and peck at the door waiting for a treat. They learned from my late rooster that they bounce off the windows in the winter so instead of trying to fly in they annoy my dogs by pecking at the door.
