"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

OK I really need to stay off of Tomato Grower’s Supply website. I’ve found 7, no 8 new varieties I want to try. Plus a new bell pepper. And a new eggplant.

So much for cutting back on the garden this year. :he :gig
I wish that I was a good grower/gardener but I'm not. :/ I'm too lazy to weed and water and do all of that other stuff. I had a garden for a few years but I can't keep up with all of the work involved.

I wouldn’t say it’s a matter of “too lazy” – more like “no spare time” in your case! I actually am downsizing a bit – moving the garden to a new location on “virgin” soil, so hopefully it’ll be more productive.

BTW, the Copycat Wendy’s chili was OUTSTANDING!!!! It was absolutely the best tasting chili we’ve ever had! That recipe is a definite keeper for us. I’m fixing to go home & have the last of it for lunch.

I have the same problem, but every year I try anew. It looks so nice when I start. All that fresh dirt....that becomes cement when I try to weed in the middle of summer, sweating, grunting and finally: to h*** with it, I'm going to go fool around the chickens under the oak tree. I hope this year to break the soil better and add enough good dirt to get better results. I got one of those Garden Claws at a garage sale for $1 brand new in box. I've added lots of soil to my clay but this year I'm really going for it. And my bunny poo and compost and my Garden Claw. I better do that before it gets too hot. Lol. Great day!!! I didn't have to go out in the yard and break ice out of the chicken and bunny water. Oh, another cool thing. My poor Jazzmine is coming out of her hard molt. Her comb was the color of light pink ash. She looked very sickly overall. It is sort of red today and she's feathering nicely. I can tell she feels better. Do you think that Vaseline helped the comb color? Or many all the black oil sunflower seeds she wanted or even the scrambled eggs with egg shells I cooked her? Dang I love those chickens!

I feel like a chicken deity every time I walk into the yard. they all flock to me and follow m around hoping I have treats. I have to be careful not to step on anyone and lord if I squat down I have as many chickens under my butt as can fit there. I think I *may" have spoiled them.

:lau. Oh, I NEVER spoil mine...that's why they have decided that they don't like their feed and would rather just wait for a treat.

I am trying REALLY hard to use up what we have in the seed bins this year. Its really hard for me to not throw a few seed packs in the cart, lol.

Hope everyone is having a good day. Its really nice here. Warmer and a little breezy. All the chickens are happy and letting me hear about it.......LOUDLY! lol

I just came back from the chiropractor . I gave him a bar of my soap for Christmas . He said he would like to buy it. I like to fell off my chair. When I started making soap I thought good soap cheaper for my family. Good gifts for friends and I enjoy making it. I like making the recipes for dry skin or sensitive skin etc.

Now almost everyone I gave soap to as a gift wants to buy some!! I guess now I have to figure out packaging and a price.

I have to thank lemon for inspiring me! If you want the fragrance oils that were giving to me let me know. I'm sticking with all natural essential oils. Or unscented which is just no sent added it smells like whatever oils I've used. Pam

I LOVED going home for lunch & being able to walk outside and it was pleasant and not freezing!! I let the birds out before coming back & laughed – I ran back to the house & they were all running & trying to fly behind me – Pigeon and Carmen were running right beside me -- so happy to be out in warm weather!

That’s the main reason I keep them; they make me smile.
