"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Terri Ann you go girl! It's so great that ya'll processed your own birds! All that time and feed are paying off,. gumbo, stew??? DH did our first roos and he too said it wasn't as hard as he thought it be,. of course he had cleaned wild animals,. but nobody he had seen hatch before,..now we don't worry about getting roos in a hatch,. they go to feed the family and are spoiled rotten until they do!

Julie! I love your pictures,. for such a big place it sure is CLEAN! ,.. and all the animals look so healthy and adorable! I am so impressed,..

Brian used a very sharp hatchet,. said they never knew what hit them. When I am well enough,. I want to learn,. not to do it all the time,. but I think it's good to know,. my grandmother used to have to do it and her mother before her,.. I don't want to be a wuss.

Thats some nice pictures. Thank you for sharing them. I sure wish my hens would start laying as they are supposed to this month. They sure look healthy enough to lay. Im starting to suspect that they have a secret spot somewhere in the backyard where they are depositing the eggs.

What kind of chickens do you have, how old are they?

I have 3 buff orpingtons that will be 6 months old in June. Hopefully they will start laying soon. I also have 8 Ameracaunas that should start laying in August.

Hello Today! I have recent pics of my chicks. I posted them on the gender/breed forum but I thought I'd ask you smarties too. All banties.

Blue Cochin Roo? English Game hen? Black sexlinked hen? 3 weeks old.

I'd agree on the blue cochin roo, in fact, they all look sort of roo-ish to me, sorry. One banty of some sort (don't know much about bantams) & black sexlink but a roo not a hen.

and the hind end of some sort of terrier in the background.
