For some odd reason, every hatch I've done so far this year has hatched early. Maybe it's sunspot activity or something! I'll see if the Wellies do the same in 2 weeks.

I was sooo tired of sitting around lik a lump,. not being allowed to even do housework,. it's NOT NATURAL,.. I was going to have another heart attack just sitting thinking about all I should have been doing

,.. so I snuck upstairs and finally put pics on our BYC page,.. now my feet are as swollen as watermelons,. but I got something done!!!

This is not the best picture in the world. Batteries in the camera were dead so I had
to dig out my old cell phone and get a picture of the guinea keets with it.
The picture might not be too good but this hatch sure is going great. I have all
of these in the picture plus more in the incubator fluffing out now. I am at a 95% hatch rate
right now on the 61 that made it to lockdown. Only 3 more eggs to go on these and then I will have a few days break
until chicks hatch. I have the turkey eggs in but will not be candling them until sometime
next week.
One of the keets looks to have spraddle legs in the picture but it just lays like that for some reason.
Believe me when I go into where they are it can get up and run away mighty quick.

Oh I'm just murmuring,.. I am truly grateful to the Lord that I'm doing as well as I am,.. I have NO complaints,.

I'm doing better every day ,.. so I FEEL like I can do everything,. 'till I start to do it!

I fell down outside this morning and though I was OK,. I was too weak to get up,.. well I had gone out early to walk in the cool of the morning and no one else was up yet ,. so I sat out there laughing at myself with chickens climbing all over me and the cat totally disgusted that I was not getting up,.
Then Olivia finally came out on the porch,. she was drinking coffee,.. so I asked.."didn't you see me out here covered in chickens through the window?" To which she replied
"well, yes mam,.. but you looked so happy I didn't want to bother you"

She had watched me for almost 30 minutes before coming to see if I wanted some coffee...!!!

My BYC page is just a random bunch of pics,.. your website ,..now thats cool!

Gosh that's scary! you take care of yourself!

Hope everybody made it through last night's storms without a problem - we had some serious lightning & wind but no harm done here. How do you know you're chicken obsessed? because I was laying there watching the lightning & worrying that we'd lose power to my Wellie eggs in my incubator!
