Satans army recruiting?

:yuckyuck

I always heard turkey's we're mean , I know a goose that was mean. Is it the breeds or how they were raised?

My turkeys are the nicest birds towards people. BUT when it comes to breeding saying or fighting for the #1 "Man In The Yard", they will darn near kill one another. And it also depends on how they are raised. I raise mine hands on from Day 1, so mine are the nicest birds around. If I am sitting in the yard, they will come around me and sit down and peck on my clothes are shoes.

This is what my day sitting outside looks like when the turkeys are around me.

As far as the geese, I know a lot of people who have tame geese. Mine are a terror because my brother first had them about 9 years ago . He bought 6 of them and he "played" with them too rough. He would rough house with them and make them strike back. So that's how they turned into Satan's Army. When new geese are hatched, I raise them myself and they are tame. Now when I turn them in the yard, Satan's Army gets a hold of them and turn them from Good to Bad. I think geese can be very tame if you spend a lot of time with them. Just not the case as far as my geese. :/

Anyone ever own swans before?

Ohhhh, swans are so beautiful! I hope you get some so I can look at your pics. :)

Someone called me and told me that this guy is getting rid of all of his animals and has a pair of swans and a pair of Pekin ducks that he wants to give to a good home and this person called me. I would love to get them but I think my geese would kill the swans. I don't have nice geese.

I would take them in a minute but I don't know if they would survive in the bayou???

Manager of Inglewood contacted me-- he wants to get rid of the ducks --- do you want about 100 ducks? How do you get rid of about 100 ducks; 1/2 of which are only decorative breeds - not egg- laying breeds? I told him try to put an ad in the Market Bulletin -- any other ideas will be welcome! I feel so sorry for the ducks & wish I had room for them - even though I tried ducks & don't like ducks & don't want ducks ever again here.

Awwwwww. I hope they find them good homes . What kind of ducks do they have? If they have different breeds other than muscovy, I would take some. Let me know what he has and what they want to give away and I will drive down with cages and pick them up.

The turkeys I raised, all of them turned out to be hens, are perfectly sweet. They are a bunch of greedy hams. :) Question, when do turkeys start to lay?
Beautiful birds!!! As far as when turkey hens lay, that will depend on the region the turkeys are in. They will start early in warmer places and later in colder places. Here is South Louisiana, turkey hens begin to lay as early as November or December. In colder areas, turkey hens may lay as late as April. They will also continue to lay late in warmer areas and they will stop laying early in colder areas. So, we here in South Louisiana that we have early layers. My hens start laying in December and will lay until VERY late in the year. Way past the "normal" laying pattern.
