"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

I keep seeing bags of compost, potting soil and organic fertilizer that says, "POOP FREE!"

What the What?????? So is this for vegans or people that are just afraid of poop??? I just find this weirder than weird. I put the composted poop in my garden on purpose! Lol!

I saw these products a TSC and Target.

In the old days even the poop from the out house was shoveled out and mixed with the animal poop for fertilizer. Now a days people think that poop carries deadly bacteria like salmonella. Truth be told if the animals are well cared fore and not ill then the poop is fine. Think about how many people touch public door knobs and money then eat without washing their hands first. That is eating other random peoples poop on a regular basis, I trust the animals more.

Yes, used up until indoor plumbing was standard in most of the country for farms and still used today in some parts of Alaska. Third world countries with water shortage also use it. The outhouses were used for a year then shoveled out onto the ground and let sit in the sun for a week. Then they would spread it out on the plots and till in. They usually did this about a month before planting time.

Jim went to a jobsite years ago - it was a remodel project -way way out in the boonies. He said the people had little kids running around out back and their septic tank was obviously overflowing and they had potatoes sprouting all over the top of it....the other part of that being, they told him they were just puzzled because they hadn't planted any potatoes out there. ....
