I have buckeyes and rose comb rhode island reds but they are all running together right now. I am about 15 minutes from Amite and if you want to pm me her name and address I will send her eggs at no charge.

OMG! That would be AMAZING! She is between Independence and Amite off Old US 51. I'll PM you her info. So awesome! DH is so mad at me right now! I promised not to get back on tonight!

I won't have my brooder done before the weekend though. I'll let you know when I'm ready. I'll definitely take some silkies. I'll let you know about the wyandottes, I'm really wanting the silver laced, but may go with some blues instead. How much?

Oh wow! Been a busy morning already! Got all the plants moved from my coop site, now to tackle the poison ivy. EEEW! I'll be taking a bleach bath as soon as I'm done.

DH is just laughing at me the whole time because he thinks I'm crazy for wanting chickens!

Hey just wanted to say be sure to cover yourself up as much as possible if your gonna mess with that poison ivy and if you spray it to kill it and they burn it, get someone else to burn it for you maybe if you really alergic because if you inhale the smoke it can be bad.

Go to Walmart or a pharmacy & get some TECNU -- it's a liquid soap that, if you wash off with it after coming in contact with poison ivy, you won't break out. Wish I'd had some last weekend -- I wouldn't be fighting it on my left hand right now!

I have a pair of pliers I use to pull up the ivy by the roots & then I spray where it was with Roundup. If I had a flamethrower, I'd probably use that on it, too. I despise the stuff!
