Don't you have some more meaties you need to get ready for??? Baaahhhaaaa!!!! (See what I have to resort to without pictures!?!!) On a serious note, How's processing coming along?

Yay! Babies!
Ok  just sitting down for a few minutes after getting my babies settled.   19 out  of 20 made it and 1 small pancake (awww)  I ordered 19 so I think one of the peanuts was the goner  I got 6 Golden Comets, 5 pullets ea of White Rock and Delaware and 2 roos ea.  Very happy with the vigor and stamina they are showing.  I forgot to put out the feather dusters so I'll have to do that in a few minutes.  How often should I check on them.  Hourly today?    My battery for the camera is supposed to come today so maybe I'll be able to finally post something.   :plbb

Kuntry, Did you read Lemon's link? I had tears running down my face!! It's the funniest thing I've read in a LONG while!!

Me TOO!!! What I found the funniest was that people read the reviews, then still ordered it and had the same thing happen to them! SMH!!!

They can sometimes always have some bare areas. It's hard for the feather growth to keep up with their growing until around 16 weeks when they sorta get as big as they're gonna get then some feathers fill in better I've noticed.

kuntry, I have a question for you.

When you had Cornish X chickens, (the big ones)  How long did it take for them to feather out fully?  If I were to try to keep any of these a bit longer than the 8weeks I am wondering how long it would take for their skin to be covered.  I have had the darndest time keeping my "Nuggets" safe from all of the Plymouth Rocks that are the same age.  Those little brats will pick at any little pin feather that they see if they are not fully entertained.  I finally separated all the White Plymouth Rocks.  They seem to be worse than the Buff ones, but they still do it occasionally.

Hi, all. You are just the best bunch of wackos in the world!! Lol.
Going to spend time with my friend this evening. I bought him a body pillow to prop up his legs or put against his side (his rib on one side hurts) or, as I told him, just snuggle with.
Congratulations to Linda on your new babies. Hope all the Bator problems are resolved, it's so sad to see them die or have problems. Such great advice on this thread.
Angel, be sure to let me know when you're ready to sell some more chicken. So good!!
Well, Kuntrygirl, sounds like Broody Acres lives up to its name for another season.
Angel, love love your snuggle hen.
Cracked, I think going to school and keeping up with your farm, boys and hubby cracked you a little bit more. Lol. No offense, I love ya girl.
Someone on here said they wanted an antique ladder to hang quilts on. I couldn't re-find the post. That ladder I picked up is 12 feet long. I would love to share it with you. I'd be happy to give you 5 or 6 feet of it if you want it. I don't need the whole thing so I would love to give it to you. Just post here or PM and we can figure out how to get it to you.
Words cannot express how much I appreciate your loving and helpful posts bout my friend.
Lemon, I'm so happy that you and your daughter have recovered. I am praying for the result to be good and permanent.
Jipus, happy birthday!!
Pam, the coop is so cool. What a talented DH you have.
Terri, it's hard to think of you being pealess. I hope all is well with your uncle.
To everyone: you are some cool chicks!! I like to believe that we have the most unique thread on BYC. I know for sure it is compared to the others I'm on. Only a bunch of wacky, smart, loving Louisiana women could pull this off. (No offense to the men who are highly valued, but as usual, it's the women that are the glue).

Ok. hypothetical question here..............

You're checking out at the store and the cashier rings up the wrong price for your items. You have 4 items that cost $15.99 each and the cashier somehow rings up only $8.99 for each item. You wonder why the price is so low and when you look at the receipt you notice the error.

So what do you do?

1. You immediately tell the cashier that she made a mistake and pay the difference.
2. You hurry and run out of the store before the cashier recognizes the problem and calls you back, get in your vehicle and speed off.
3. You go back in the store and spend the extra $28.00 that the cashier has "gifted" you due to the oversight.
4. You go back in the store and give the cashier a $5.00 tip and keep the remaining $23.00 for yourself.
