Aw, they are all so cute! The one you are asking about looks a lot like an Easter Egger mix I hatched out.I'm hoping you guys could help me with a color question. I have a mixed flock that has recently been separated, so eggs still aren't pure. Breed wise, I have a pair of red pyle mixed bantams, some sort of blue copper hen, a multi-shade brown hen (looks a bit like a welsummer in coloring), a buff hen with black smutt, a reddish brown rooster, a black silkie pair, and two buff/ light brown hens. I listed all of them because I have a mystery chick whose color I've never seen before. Upon hatch it looked similar to a laced wyandotte, but its feathers are coming in black/dark with a light coloring that resembles barring. Could anyone tell me what color it will grow out to be? First few days:More recent:

I separated breeds about a month ago, and I'm still getting mixed chicks! I have what seems to be a blue and a white silkie, but I only have the black pair.
Hi I'm in Scott Louisiana. 21 mature chickens, 22 baby chicks and about 20 fertile eggs. I've been raising chickens since 6/24/2013.![]()
