What type of combs would these be?
im so hoping you are right!! Thanks for respondingI think pea. A lot of mine looked like they had no comb till they got older.
thanks! I'm hoping for blue/ green layers. I would LOVE to find some ameraucans near meLooks like pea to me too![]()
My ameraucana have pea combs that didn't start to fill in til week 6 or so. Then sexing was easy. But mixed breeds can have mixed combs too I learned with my EEs lol my Blue hen had a pea comb young now at 2 years old it looks like a rose/pea/floppy comb lol. All my ameraucana stayed pea comb with neat rows.
Thanks for your advice. If I see anything ill upgrade
i'm wanting to start incubating soon, but i have never done it, and quite frankly, it scares the living daylights out of me. I'm so afraid I will mess up and kill the poor babies. So, anyone have suggestions on good beginner incubators? Rule of thumb for humidity here in Louisiana? anything else i need to know? Ive been reading on the incubating and hatching thread but would love to hear from some of "my people"
