We are getting 25 Cornish X, a homesteaders, and thinking of adding guines or phesant (?) so if anyone wants to go in on an order and lives in the area check the site PM me with what you want I'm putting in the order on Tues the 27th of May. Have a good one! Hey Kuntrygirl I'm still not seeing the mob of ducks in photo's >>>

Did you order more meaties too? I think you should try to grow out a few Cornish X hens if anyone can get a fat meatie to hatch.... well my money's on Fertile Acres lol

Anyone know exactly what kind of cherry this is? I would like to start some from the seeds. But I know I will have better luck if I am able to research the exact kind of bush and how they germinate. The gentleman that we got them from just called them wild cherries. They sure are tasty! I know they have made jelly out of them for many years and the bush we picked these from is over 40 yrs old.

The doggies were begging for a sample

Kind of cruddy pictures. But they have a slight pattern almost like the muscadine have the tiny gold specks.

I had a wild cherrie tree. The berries are darker. smaller.and had a tart taste. And they came off a tree not a bush. Good luck finding what they really are. Pam
Thanks!

I think my husband found it last night. I am glad we knew to look things up because the seeds take 90-120 days of warm stratification and then 90 days of cold stratification.......THEN they will sprout. Sooooo........that is going to be a long wait. Hahaha!

Oh, and they look exactly like the CORNELIAN CHERRY DOGWOOD.

I heard gunshots yesterday and a guy was shooting 2 snakes in the grown up yard next door. The old lady went to a nursing home and her Gson moved in. Total scum Arrested for possession and shop lifting. She couldn't pay the electricity bill anymore because they take her check so he lived there in this heat for a couple of weeks. Finally moved out. Yea. So the grass right next to us is 2 ft high. Aimee went and bought 4 boxes of moth balls to sprinkle for snakes. And just a few days ago a guy pulled into our driveway and killed a 5' snake making his way to her dog shop. So she bought the moth balls.
I found that I don't need to plant a garden. It's grown so full of weeds that I just pull a bunch and throw to the chicks. Prioritize. I'm getting ready for my eggs to get here and can't do it all.

We have been turning the once a pond into a swimming pool. Next year will probably go salt water. Still researching that tho.

Any idea on breed of this chick?
Same chick I asked on previously just older lol

Saw this on facebook, I used beef broth my dog LOVED it all day!
Go saltwater pool! Love ours. It has made such a difference on my son's skin. He has trouble with the chemicals in the pool. We switched to a saltwater pump a couple of years ago.

Angelicisi, I think it's a golden laced wyandotte. We have 2. Beautiful birds.

We just hatched a batch of mixed chicks, just because we let a broody sit. We don't have room for them, but the kids love watching them hatch and holding those little fuzzy butts! There are 7. 4 are the golden laced wyandotte mom -in a pic below- and beautiful black ameraucana roo, one is ameraucana mom with buff orpington dad (last 2 photos), and one is a pure buff orpington. the last one is a question mark but is ameraucana dad and possibly blue laced red wyandotte mom. They are ready to go at any time. Last yellow one popped out of her shell at 2 AM this morning peeping very loudly. That's why she won't stand for pics, but all are healthy and doing well. We are in Gonzales.
